Easy Info for Families

Families shouldn’t have to read through policies to find answers.
Here are the questions we hear most — and the help we offer right away.

Can my child live in a Mea Vota community?

Yes — our housing model is lifelong and family-centered. Children and adults with lifelong care needs can live here safely while their parents or guardians remain close by.

Do I need to pay for services?

Most support is funded through public programs and donations. We help families apply for Medicaid or local support so no one is left behind.

What happens in an emergency or crisis?

Mea Vota operates a 24/7 crisis line and short-term respite service. Parents can call for immediate help and temporary care arrangements.

Who runs Mea Vota?

We are a non-profit foundation run by parents, professionals and advisors. All governance documents are public on our Transparency Hub.

Can I join as a volunteer or partner?

Absolutely — we welcome donors, professionals and organizations to build with us. See our Donors & Partners page for options.

How do I start planning for my child’s future?

Begin with a free orientation meeting. We help you create a My Care Will™ and connect you to legal and financial advisors.

Where can I find forms or documents?

Visit our Governance & Transparency section to download Bylaws, Policies and Templates.
